We are looking for an experienced immigration (law) professional to head our immigration (law) department.

 

We are looking for an experienced immigration (law) professional to head our immigration (law) department.

Our immigration  team is responsible for advising and guiding our clients through the relevant immigration processes, such as applying for recognized sponsorship, obtaining residence and work permits for international talent, and assisting their talent with the necessary formalities upon arrival in the Netherlands.

In this challenging position, you will lead and develop an ambitious and enthusiastic team of immigration (law) professionals. You will be responsible for maintaining the level of quality of our immigration services towards our clients as well as fostering the continued growth and development of the team. It will be your responsibility to delegate, coordinate and monitor all immigration (law) related work for our clients.

Tasks and Responsibilities

The position requires that you are familiar with all aspects of (Dutch) labor-related immigration law and that you have the necessary know how and experience to meet not only our clients’ needs and expectations but also your team’s. The position entails:

  • keeping up with relevant legal developments and, if necessary, translating them into clear advice, instructions, and training for internal and external use;
  • advising our clients in the field of immigration (law);
  • contributing to the professionalization and growth of the immigration (law) team;
  • advise and coach team members;
  • managing the team, including hiring, performance management, etc.
  • empowering team members to deliver the best quality of work in a happy and healthy work environment;
  • ensuring that the working methods of the team and the work attitude of team members are in line with Briddge’s desire to unburden clients; and
  • contributing to the commercial success of the immigration (law) team.

 

As Head of Immigration, it is important to have a friendly, positive, self-confident, pro-active, result-oriented and assertive attitude. You need to be a strong communicator, a great team player and enjoy challenging situations.

Requirements

  • Min. completed HBO law degree, with at least 5 years of work experience as an immigration (law) professional;
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in both English and Dutch;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Extensive experience with process- and people management and the drive to continuously evaluate and improve processes;
  • Helicopter view;
  • Commercially, service- and client oriented;
  • Pragmatic, result oriented and decisive;
  • Proactive and able to set priorities;
  • Strong sense of responsibility;
  • Able to work under pressure and handle high stress situations;
  • Very accurate, inquisitive and a drive to continue to learn and develop professionally and personally.

 

A certificate of conduct (VOG) is required for the position and a reference check is also part of the application procedure.
