  • Highly Skilled Migrant (HSM) permit;
  • Intra-Corporate Transferee (ICT) permit;

Our Immigration team can also easily assist you to file a 30% ruling application, and if employees from abroad are eligible for it, they can be granted a tax-free allowance of up to 30% of their gross salary to cover the extra costs that a foreign employee experiences when moving to the Netherlands.

Is there a deadline to apply for the 30% ruling?

Yes. In order to be able to apply the 30% ruling retroactively to the start date of the employee’s employment, the application must be submitted within 4 months of the employee’ start date of employment. Otherwise the 30% ruling will be applicable as of the first day of the month following the month in which the application was submitted.

If an employee has lived in the Netherlands before, is he or she not eligible?
