As we continue to expand, we are seeking a motivated and client-focused (Senior) Accounting Associate to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining strong relationships with our international clients, who have chosen the Netherlands as the basis for their activities in Europe. While ensuring accurate and efficient accounting services you will be responsible for managing client accounts, addressing inquiries, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver top-notch financial solutions.
As a (Senior) Accounting Associate you are responsible for the maintenance and efficient execution of the financial administration of various (international) clients.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Carrying out month/quarter-end closes and preparing resulting financial reports for sharing with clients
- Preparing and filing complete and correct VAT/ESL/CBS returns on behalf of clients
- Monitoring client transactions to ensure compliance with relevant legislation (WWFT/Tax)
- Drafting annual statutory financial statements for filing with the Trade Registry
- Supporting clients with ad-hoc services (payments/sales invoice creation) if needed
- Working with clients to streamline accounting processes
- Communicating with foreign and domestic clients and third parties
- Keep accurate track of work during contractual working hours in the hour registration system in a timely manner
- Works with and support the Financial Controller to streamline financial processes, eliminate processing bottlenecks and identify areas of attention for discussion with other groups within Briddge and/or with the client
- Asks questions in order to learn more about processes, clients and financial/tax and other rules that apply to Briddge and its clients
- Works with other teams to collect information/advice relevant to situations facing clients
Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 2 years of experience in a client-oriented environment within the EU
- Current knowledge regarding legislation and regulations and proficient in accounting software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Great sense of responsibility
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Pragmatic and accurate
A certificate of conduct (VOG) is required for the position and a reference check is also part of the application procedure.
